Arnold followed into photography in his father’s footsteps, discovering early enthusiasm for his camera gear and how it worked. After studying photography at the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design in England, and the Parsons School of Design in Paris, France, Arnold began a freelance career in Reykjavík, Iceland, where he was born and lives today. His work includes commercial, press, and industrial photography for many of Iceland's largest companies, in addition to shooting part-time press photography at Morgunbladid, Iceland's largest newspaper. Arnold has worked with international commercial photographers, as well as with film and television crews, including the Emmy Award-winning, Game of Thrones. He has also worked for international companies such as Time Magazine, the BBC, Dwell, the Discovery Channel, Outdoor Magazine and Reuters, and is currently Bloomberg Financial News´ exclusive photographer in Iceland. Most recently, Arnold escorts international travelers and photo enthusiasts around Iceland to experience the versatile landscape. His photographs have frequently been nominated and received prizes in competitions both at home and abroad.
