"Know your subject, whether it is a landmark, a location, culture, or architecture. Know it well so that you can shoot it well."

Meet the thirty9 Photographer

Beth follows a self-described “simple philosophy” for her photography: “Know your subject, whether it is a landmark, a location, culture or architecture. Know it well so that you can shoot it well.” After years of travel fueled her desire for a creative avenue to share what she’d seen, Beth looked to masters such as Hungarian-French photographer, Brassaï, and nature photographer David Muench, to help shape her vision. She loves to shoot both daytime and nighttime landscapes, with fans of her work drawn in by her knack for showing a familiar location or subject shown in an unfamiliar way. Beth finds inspiration in the endless visual possibilities such as time of day, time of year, weather, etc. “How could I not be inspired when nothing is ever the same?”
