Meet the Artist - Sean Haselden
Sean Haselden
"There’s always something you can learn from someone else, as well as something you might be able to teach them. Being open to both is a great mindset to have."
~ Sean Haselden
Sometimes the details of executing a great shot can cause you to lose sight of what matters. For Sean, the experience itself is equally important. “Every moment is fleeting; taking a step back to appreciate simply being somewhere is something I try to remind myself. “The experience, journey, and adventure come first; photography is how I capture the moment so I can relive that feeling of awe and wonder.” Not surprisingly, Sean began photography to document his travel and outdoor activities. His portfolio includes travel, landscape, and astrophotography images. He’s taken portraits as well, but really enjoys the peace that comes from waiting for and watching a sunrise, sunset, or nighttime sky, or the anticipation of light and weather conditions coming together; it’s all part of the creation that goes into a special scene. “Watching the way the first rays of sun hit a mountain top, or the stillness and reflection a lake brings before the wind picks up; tracing the Milky Way as it moves through the night sky, and watching the fog roll in and out of a valley -- these moments are why I get so much out of photography.” Most recently, Sean has been working with time-lapse images and intimate scenes with more focus on the details. “I hope my work conveys the love, joy, and passion I have for the outdoors.”
