Ron’s interest in photography began upon graduation from college when his parents bought him an SLR camera. Growing up on a farm in Southeast Kansas, Ron spent many days outside working in and enjoying the outdoors, which taught him how to respect nature, how things grow and how mother nature takes care of herself. It is fitting, then, that Ron is drawn to the natural world of landscapes, wildlife, and travel, however he describes his style as eclectic and not tied to one aspect of photography. In addition to enjoying many different styles and subjects, Ron finds inspiration through learning new techniques, such as time lapse, macro and super macro photography. He also enjoys sharing those techniques with others and teaches the subjects of night image photography and light painting, in the U.S. and abroad.
